Wedding Party Gifts

As an engaged couple looks forward to their special day, there can be events leading up to the big moment where they pledge their lives to one another. A pre-ceremony wedding party can be held as much as several months prior to the main event. This is a gathering which can be a lot like or very different than the wedding reception. What usually happens is those close to the prospective bride and groom are invited to take part. Some well known examples, which you are probably familiar with, are the bachelor party and the bachelorette party. It can be customary for the couple to follow in the tradition of the reception and give those attending a small gift of some kind to show their appreciation to the guests for coming.

Wedding Party Gift Thoughs

Sometimes, physical gifts will show an added appreciation for their friends above even a sincere thank you. You can choose to give almost anything as a wedding party gift. You don't need to break the bank with the cost of the gifts for this kind of occasion, but you don't have to be cheap either. This is one of those areas where you can spend as much or little as you would like to and there isn't a wrong way to go. Most people will probably want to split the difference in cost staying in a range that is not cheap but not expensive either. Glassware with the details of the upcoming wedding make a very memorable gift, and shows both class and style in a wedding party gift. Some couples have found that a picture of them, possibly a wallet size picture in a small frame, gives a personal touch which friends and family appreciate. The key is to give something that shows your guests are important to you and you value their support and participation in their celebration.

Wedding Party Gifts - Final Thoughts

One of my favorite wedding party favors is a shirt from the pre-ceremony party. They can be simple, cost effective shirts with a logo or design the couple picks out to have printed or embroidered on the shirts. Again, details of the wedding day or the party they are currently attending, are always a thoughtful and unique gift. There isn't a specific model to follow when it comes to what to put on the shirts, if you decide to go that direction. You just want to be sure that they are tasteful and will remind people that your two lives are on their way to becoming one.

As you can begin to see the choices for gifts are pretty much limited to how creative you want to be, and how much you want to (or can afford to) spend on them.

That's such a great idea, giving wedding gifts. Weddings already can be pretty expensive though, so the notion of something small yet creative and thoughtful really appeals to me.

I like the shirt idea for an inexpensive wedding party gift. I like functional gifts and clothing is just that. And having everyone wear their shirts at the pre-ceremony party really makes it work!

Finding just the right gift to give can be a difficult choice, but the most important thing is that you are acknowledging your friends and family. If you get really stuck, you could always settle for a wedding party gift basket, there are plenty of places online that offer these.

Wedding party gifts are hard to choose, glad I only have to do it once. Think I bought flasks.
